I was talking to a friend the other day (Onesa), and she was telling me that a boyfriend and a husband holds the same weight. She told me that a husband is nothing more than a husband. She say that boyfriends and husband are the same, due to the fact that the divorce rate is way too high right now, which means that the level of seriousness is the same. I told her that a boyfriend is less secure than a boyfriend. A husband made the transition from a boyfriend to a husband because he felt in his mind and heart that he found the right one. He took a vow to be there for that significant other through everything and that he will never leave her side. Even though some husbands take these vows for granted and walk out of a wife life just as a boyfriend do, a husband understands and acccepts his values at a higher level. Too many people are getting married for the wrong reasons, and also too many of them are jumping into marriage to quickly. Marriage is a serious step taken by two people who are very secure with their relationships, and want to be recognized as one, instead of just a boyfriend and a girlfriend. They want to tackle this world as one, realizing that trials and tribulations will come but they will stand strong as a tree with deep roots.. I don't think a boyfriend can compare to a husband.. Do you think it is the same?
i actually agree wit yu on this one. a boyfriend may seem like hes serious bout the relationship, and he just might be, but when hes able to take the next to marriage then that shows a great sense of stability. as husband and wife they should definately be able to handle everything together more so than being just boyfriend and girlfriend. being just a boyfriend makes it so much easier to leave, but being a husband should be a little less trouble, because there should be way more trust. and being a husband should make him think more maturely of ways to handle situations with his wife. .. but then again thats how i think it should be, its not nearly always that way.
ReplyDeleteok so how i feel about the boyfriend vs. husband thing is husband does have a higher level and is a more serious level when its husband and wife rather than boyfriend and girlfriend. yes people divorce everyday just like boyfriends and girlfriends break up but at the same time break ups can be for many stupid reasons and the cause of break ups is because ppl may have rushed into a relationship they wasnt ready for or realy and truly dont know the person they were dating..on the other hand divorce is for more serious reasons because once you are in a marriage the two ppl understand that they are in love, feel like they found the right person and will fight for the relationship to work even thru the hardest times...but maybe after it gets to hard and fights occur over and over the two ppl want to seperate..i truly think breaking up is nuthin like a divorce..and marriage is more serious than dating. i agree wit u mr haynes :)
